TOGETHER. BETTER.

Statistics

Since the foundation of Fankhauser Mangold in 2007, we have worked for 165 customer companies and are a preferred provider for various large companies.

Over the years 2007 – 2019, these are the average resultsof client support:

  • 97% found a better or comparable job.
  • 70% had more or the same wages at the new job.
  • 54% found the job via their network or unsolicited applications.
  • 32% found the job via ads/internet.
  • 11% found the position via personnel consultant/headhunter.

We also see a slight trend towards self-employment, where we have our own program.
49 years was the average age of our clients.

We receive very good feedback, references and recommendations, whether it be from our clients or from our contractors.

In 2019 98% of our clients found a new job with our support, despite a difficult environment, 80% of them a better one! The salary situation remained stable, 70% negotiated a higher salary or were able to keep the salary. 17% decided to take a lower salary in favour of LifeBalance. With 42% Networking and spontaneous applications were the most promising search routes. Head hunters and job placement agencies were only of minor importance at 4%.

    Better Job

    Main Aims
98% of job seekers found a better or equivalent position compared to the previous one. The new job gave more consideration to their potential and needs. We have thus achieved the primary goal of our advice and laid the basis for a long-term solution.

    Salary

    Material Goal
We recognize an increasing pressure on salaries. 70% of our clients (average age 49 years) were able to negotiate a higher salary or were able to maintain their salary. 17% received a lower salary in favour of LifeBalance. This also includes those who have agreed to a future salary increase. Only 13% had to accept a lower salary without having additional non-cash benefits. Recognizing your own preferences is an integral part of our advice.

    How was the job found?

    How to Reach Your Goal
With 42% the spontaneous application and networking provided the most promising search route to get to the "hidden" job market, followed by 41% with job advertisements that were mostly found "online". Furthermore, it seems that the search route via Head Hunter and recruiters loses importance for our clients with 4%.

    New Industry

    Which Were the Target Industries
When signing a new contract, our clients opted especially for the sectors Pharma/Chemistry, Services, Commerce, Public Administration, Consulting, Industry and for Banks/Insurances. However, we are observing a trend away from Pharma/Chemistry towards new industries (26% to 30% in the previous year). Our broad network enables the job search to be extended to other sectors.

    Age Brackets

    Age Brackets
The largest age category of our clients is between 51 and 55 years. 49% of our clients were over 50 years old. It was encouraging that people in the 50+ age group found with “self-marketing” a good job, some even made a career step.

In 2018, our clients achieved the following results with our support, despite the slow recovery of the Swiss economy and a difficult environment (strong Swiss, restructuring in the financial sector and in the life science industry).

We are particularly pleased about the fact that 98% of our clients found their desired job. Below are the results in detail:

Recognizing personal preferences is an integral part of our consultancy service.

    How to Reach Your Goal
Networking and unsolicited applications still proved to be the most successful route to take, at 49%. However, we recommend trying all possible routes. Searching for a job through advertisements / internet stayed on the approximate level of the past year, at 36%.

Our broad network enables our clients to extend their job search to other industries.

71% of our clients (average age 49 years) were able to negotiate a higher salary or were able to maintain their salary. 29% had to accept a (slight) drop in their salary. Search Times

As a general rule, the search time grows the higher the functional level, salary and age are. During the year under review, the average search time up to a salary of CHF 130,000.00 was about 6 months, for a higher salary than CHF 130,000.00 it was 8 months.
In our consulting approach the quality of the job and thus the sustainability take absolute priority over the speed.
